Macfarlanes has advised Evelyn Partners, the leading wealth management and professional services group, on its acquisition of the Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle offices of Haines Watts.

The transaction is Evelyn Partners' sixth professional services business acquisition in the last 18 months, as the group seeks to augment its strong organic growth and broaden its geographic footprint by adding high quality firms with complementary expertise.

The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Tom Rose, supported by corporate and M&A senior associate Steve Siopis and associate Helen Connolly. The team also included tax and reward partner Jeremy Moncrieff and associate Jack Slater, commercial partner Will Hedges and associates Cliodhna Ni Ghadra, Markos Day and Kate Foster, and real estate associate Russell Fancourt.
